A/C check you can do for free
To do a basic a/c test on your car turn your a/c on high and put a thermometer in the vent and read temp. Then put the thermometer down by your feet (wait for the thermometer to change). A good working a/c will have at least a 20 degree temp difference between the air going into the a/c and the air out the vent.
